The RBVRR Telangana Police Academy (TGPA), is a premier institution dedicated to shaping professionally competent, ethical and service-oriented Police Officers. As one of the leading Police Training Academies in the country, TGPA plays a vital role in preparing officers for the diverse challenges of modern policing. The Academy trains a wide range of personnel, including Sub-Inspectors (SIs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (Dy.SsP), other Gazetted Officers, Additional/ Assistant Public Prosecutors, Forensic Scientists, Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs), Assistant MVIs and personnel from allied departments like SSB, equipping them with the skills needed to tackle evolving law enforcement demands.
TGPA offers a comprehensive spectrum of training programs designed to cater to different stages of an officer’s career:
Basic Training for New Recruits: Foundational courses focusing on law, investigation techniques, physical fitness, and ethical policing, ensuring a strong base for budding officers from Telangana and other States, including IPS Probationers.
Refresher and Orienta_on Courses: Periodic updates for serving officers on latest policing trends, legal amendments, technological advancements and best practices.
Training of Trainers (ToT): Equipping faculty with modern pedagogical techniques to enhance training quality and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Specialized Thema_c Courses: Focused training on areas like Cybercrime, Forensic Science, Disaster Management and Community Policing, addressing emerging challenges in Law
Enforcement.
Computer-Based Training: Enhancing technological proficiency for digital investigations, data-driven policing and use of advanced tools for crime analysis.

Regular seminars and workshops on emerging policing issues foster continuous

TGPA maintains robust linkages with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR & D), National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, various Commissionerates and DPO’s.
